Ark Racing Limited is a family-run business known and respected worldwide within the motorsport industry for its design solutions, development and manufacture of bespoke products.

Ark Racing began in the 1960s when a family friend prepared cars for individuals to race. In the 1970’s Ark designed and built its race cars, many of which had podium positions in its class. In the 1980s, disgruntled by the starter motors which fell apart or just weren’t powerful enough, the first Ark Racing Starter Motor was born. Ark continued to develop and build bespoke parts for its customers, enabling them to gain a competitive edge.

In 2004, my father and I bought Ark Racing. With extensive experience in competitive racing and a passion for engineering and design, the expansion and development of Ark Racing’s products became (as with all passions) a way of life.

We now work alongside Research & Development departments, Designers, Engine Builders and Chief Mechanics of the leading race teams in F2, F3, Rally, Endurance Racing, Indy car, GP2, Historic and High-Performance race vehicles, continually supplying our design expertise and manufacturing our products to the highest standard, ensuring performance and durability in some of the world’s harshest race locations.

This means we already have extensive experience in communicating with national and international departments, providing all necessary conformity reports, commodity codes, export documentation, and non-disclosure agreements (as required). It also means that we will continue to apply that same passion to all customers and their projects.

Continual investment in our people, buildings and machinery has enabled us to expand our precision machining, design capabilities and other services to a variety of industries, including Marine, Oil, M.O.D., U.A.V. Aviation and many more.

  • We now have 8 CNC machining stations including 3, 4, and 5 Axis Milling machines, we can provide single or multiple processes on components.
  • We can take your concept ideas from a sketch through to drawings, design, development and manufacture.
  • We will gladly take your supplied drawings and manufacture batch runs.
  • We have a network of specialist subcontractors for any process we cannot perform in house.
